No, and I don’t really miss it. I miss the idea of it, not the place itself.
I am on the Capital Now…
No, I have lived in 4 different cities/towns and now I live two hours by car from the rest of my family.
There is no good reason for me to go to my home town, and plenty of reasons to stay away.
I absolutely miss my home town to death, but it wasn’t all good things there. It was a rich, snobby 20,000+ population town, outside of San Francisco. I have dreams all the time where I’'m walking through the town, it means a lot to me and I made a lot of good friends there, but I’m happier with the people in my new state.
I’m not in the same town, but I’m in the same metro area. I can get to my childhood home in under 10 minutes. I voted yes.
Still? No. But I do happen to live in my hometown. Still just implies that I’ve been here the entire time. For all the time spent living at my parents various houses (they’ve moved 3 times in basically the same area) I’ve actually lived in quite a few different places, the city, twice the “biggest little city” in two seperate places plus out in the hills and lakes and at 19 I spent five weeks on the campus of some tiny little nowhere college in Vermont in the middle of nowhere. Getting high in cornfields was apparently the ■■■■drizzle thing to do there but I just spent all my time in other people’s beds and didn’t go to class hence my five weeks there.
