I can cook if it involves a frying pan or heating stuff up. I wish I was a bit better in the kitchen.

I make all my main meals, but I would hate to cook for someone else. I mostly just heat stuff and chop ingredients up and thats about it.

My two main meals I make
1 Chicken salad (heat pre cut chicken, cut salad, add dressing)
2 Vegetable and boiled egg with noodles (grill vegetables, boil egg and noodles, cut vegetables, deshell egg, add sauce)

Both are very simple that anyone that can hold a knife can do.

Before I got sick I was an amazing cook and could cook complex food for big groups of people. Now I’m not well I stick to cooking basic dinners. Anything too complicated just seems exhausting

From 13 to 18 I was taking care of my grandmother during her first bout with cancer, I became primary housekeeper, both mom and grandfather had a company to run.

Anyway, I was primary cook too. I learned my family recipes, experimented, and had a well practiced grandmother to teach me.

Second round of cooking training was when I lived in Las Vegas. Buddy of mine was head chef at a Michelin star restaurant. He would hold dinner parties and always let me come over early to help and learn. Was a cool dude.

Anyway I’ve picked up a lot. Silly enjoy cooking when my negatives aren’t holding me down.

I cook some things very well, and some things horribly wrong.

I’m GREAT at pancakes. I made a really juicy salmon dish. I can make a scrumptious chocolate cake.

I could not properly cook a steak or a cutlet if my life depended on it.

Yes of course i can cook! I can do victoria cakes to a Lamb Dansak.

I was master of the kitchen, when i was married lol.

Trouble is when when your a sad old git that lives on his own like i do - you will always go for the easy option and order in.

When your single - there is simply no point in getting in half a leg of lamb or something for a sunday roast. Cos who the hell is gonna eat it with me lol.

I can cook,

But I’m still learning.

Only like eight years ago did I start cooking.

And it was a super rough start.

I’ve gotten a lot better.

I have a self confidence issue + not naturally skilled when it comes to cooking. I prefer one frying pan/saucepan/ casserole dishes. Dishes that don’t require a lot of preparation, instructions and coordinating .

I can cook well. Not chef style but tasty food.

I cook chicken korma, spaghetti bolognese, chicken rogan josh, full English breakfast, fried rice, Jamaican chicken jerk….etc.

I have fun cooking but I’m far from a chef lol

My meals are delicious though.
