I’m staying hopeful that these meds can improve our lives.
It’s stuff you can hear anywhere. No one’s talking about patient expierences or more in depth conversations about…really anything! It’s actually starting to get really frustrating as I can imagine we are all bursting with questions.
I’m sorry I commented on that prematurely. It was actually a worthwhile listen. There are a vast amount of people who suffer with just negative symtoms and residual schizophrenia and just anhedonia apathy and avolition (inability to work) the more I read about these meds the more I realize they are for acute schizophrenia it seems and not anything having to do with tackling negative symptoms in purely anhedonic people and it’s alllllll so frustrating….
I just. Don’t. Know
I’m a lot more optimistic for the young people with this illness Because I believe that many of the new drugs will show up to be a lot less harmful than the old drugs. And even if they do not directly improve cognitive-negative symptoms then they won’t worsen them likewise the all the drugs used today that all in more or less degree affect the dopamine 2 receptors which worsen those symptoms unlike the new meds that works for positives without affecting D2.
