I’ve heard you guys talking about Pink Floyd. I am learning western music. Could you recommend some songs by this band? Or , you have another band to suggest?

Atom Heart Mother Suite is my favorite Pink Floyd song. it’s about 23 minutes long and is an instrumental…the best songs I think by Pink Floyd you might like is “grandchester meadows”, “echoes”, “Free Four”, “one of these days”, “San Tropez”, “a pillow of winds”. there’s some for you. there are many great songs by Pink Floyd.

Pink Floyd’s most famous stuff is off of “dark side of the moon”…“Time”, “money”, “lunatic”, “on the run”, “breathe (in the air)”

The name of the album is “Animals”. Two of the song titles are 'Dogs" and “Pigs”. I think it’s one of their most under-rated albums.

the albums dark side of the moon and the wall are their 2 most popular. i recommend the early pink floyd singles album and animals and meddle. point me at the sky is a personal favorite song of mine.

They did a movie for their album “the Wall” called “the Wall.” Pink Floyd is well known for their instrumentals, but the concepts behind their lyrics are genius. “The Wall” isn’t so much instrumental, but the concepts behind the songs really get you thinking. “Animals” is my favorite Pink Floyd album. Not only is the music great, but the concept behind the lyrics is awesome. Basically groups in society are represented by different types of animals. I really think you’ll like Pink Floyd. They’re my favorite.

its only made famous in the sz world bc the singer came down with schizophrenia bc he done too much LSD, and its easy listening and people have said its good to smoke weed to while listening.

thats because he never went to see a p/doc, his friend Roger Waters tried to get him to see one (an anti psychiatry p/doc) who was famous at the time R.D.Laing who wrote the divided self but Roger Barrett (syds real name) didn’t go, his sister was the biggest support for him making regular visits every week and getting him shopping etc.
but just bc someone isn’t diagnosed with sz doesn’t mean they haven’t got it
But just because people say he has it, doesn’t make it true either. It’s kind of an an urban legend.

i just read something about him when he was in the band that sounds so funny, they were trying to make a song called ‘have you got it yet’ and he kept changing the arrangements and everything and then saying ‘have you got it yet’ haha thats hilarious ‘i would have loved to have heard the sessions’ lol
