Please help, I've done a classic spouse thing

I forgot my anniversary is tomorrow.

I knew it was this month,

I’ve just been sooo distracted with this upcoming trip and personal issues,

Didn’t notice the date creep up.

I have a ton of crafts and even a blank canvas.

But it’s huge and I don’t think he wants a picture that big.

We’ll see.

What do you think, should I make a nice card and go get him something little today?

Or go all in on the crafts?

He doesn’t really need anything, so it’s kind of difficult.

I can’t believe I forgot.

What would you do,

We’ve been married 12 years tomorrow.

I would get the card and a nice little gift. I think he would enjoy that. Maybe a gift card??

I second @Turtle44 on this one. I’m sure he’ll be happy with whatever you decide though @Charles_Foster.
Congrats!

I was thinking maybe I could bang out a more abstract, colorful painting today.

Similar to this:

Maybe I can’t do it in time.

Maybe I should just get something.

Sometimes very spontaneous paintings are just the best.

Up to you really

I do have lingerie he hasn’t seen,

So there’s that.

I think I’ll try to do a painting.

I’ve already got some ideas.

Oral sex is a great last minute gift idea.

I’m only kidding a little.

I don’t know if I’d make or buy of I was still crafty. I’ve made my husband one painting, for his birthday, of a wolf. Most every orher gift is in line with what he likes. Collectables, video game stuff, etc.

As a man, i wouldnt really mind not recieving a gift or anything. The only thing i would want on my anniversary is a smiling and happy wife. If shes happy im happy.

Blowjob is a great idea.

But I think during anniversary sex,

It’s expected.

I know I’m expecting.

The worst part is, I know he got me something.

Probably something super thoughtful and romantic.

He’s really good at this kind of stuff.

I forget dates and am bad at gifts.

I know how you feel. I suck at gifts, too. Hence the oral. Its free and is always on hand.

I could be wrong but isnt it almost always on mouth?

@Charles_Foster
Just get him a card and have a nice day with him.
If he likes paintings then do a painting, you know what he values.
Have a happy anniversary

Hmm…

How about a gift card for your fave Restaurant? A night out for both of you!

Congrats on 12 years married!

You could order him something and make a white lie and say that it’s coming late because it got delayed. Or get him something small now and tell him something bigger is coming.

Do you have a calendar app on your phone? I use Google Calendar. I put all important birthdays and my anniversary in there, and I put reminders on the calendar events.

So, my camera (EDIT: calendar… not camera) alerts me of special days, a few days before, a week before, and maybe 2 weeks before. So, it helps me not forget it.

Congrats on 12 years, BTW!! That’s awesome.

As for your question, I think if you can bust out a cool painting in such little time, I say go for it! In my experience, handmade gifts are the best gifts. But you know your husband best.

Maybe a bottle of tequila, whiskey or vodka. And a card. Or some Guinness beer, if he likes that.
