I am 45 years old and have barbie dolls that I dress up. I don’t go out much or have any friends, so it gives me something to do apart from the Internet.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. It shows good imaginative play skills.
I love dolls and teddy bears. I have hand puppets that I talk to.

I want to be your friend @Simonw I have the exact same problem, I see people
at the health club but apart from a former classmate I don’t talk to anybody there.
My dad takes me for walks but this is my dad.
Overall I have no friends, I sit at home most of the time,
my functioning is very poor.
I will be your friend Erez, It would be nice to have someone to talk to. I have no interaction with anyone outside my family.

There is nothing wrong with playing with dolls. I like to build forts out of cardboard boxes and furniture. Adults have imaginative needs, too.

I still cuddle stuffed toys most of the time and take one with me when I go away, it’s soothing, I think there is nothing wrong with playing as an adult,

Sure! I play with Lego’s and stuff. Embrace your inner child. I’m 33 and I see no problem doing such things. Enjoy. 
When it comes to toys and playtime, I refuse to grow up.

I play dress up and barbies with my partner’s little sister and her nieces. I get to be batman after he drank a bunch of coffee (lol don’t ask)

Not really.
I still have toys though, just not the old kind i used to know and love.
Over time it became a guitar, old movies became quite a few documentaries about things although i still check out the usual but not for entertainment anymore, dreaming became meditation, the computer of course, the comic became the book.
So you could say i still have toys yes, they just changed.

even though i have a 2 year old… he has figured out how to play games on the ps4… so its more lego marvel and minecraft than toys now… but hell that’s a toy… so yes… both digital and actual toys… the toys are pretty cool now… you should revaluate your life if you own no toys…

I just got done playing with my action figures !! how weird…two of them speak when you push a button and it’s fun to hear them talk…one is an Ent from Middle Earth and I also have Sauron who talks…too creepy to hear Sauron speak though…I mainly listen to the Ent…I listen to them every week or so and I have to replace the batteries in them every year. haha…play with your dolls and such…such great fun. I also have a Jimmy Page figure playing a double neck guitar and I have Slash from Guns ‘n’ Roses…also have a Gene Simmons playing bass in his The Elder costume.
