We dont have such holiday in Trinidad but coincidentally we have a public holiday this week. Its “Indian Arrival Day” tomorrow, Tuesday. Some of us have foreparents who came to the islands as indentured labourers from India via boat back in the days after slavery was abolished.
Me too. Don’t you hate when people say “happy memorial day”? I know they mean well, but still.

Yes sir! That does kinda burn my ass. I know they mean well too, but they’re confusing Memorial Day with Veteran’s Day.

Your feelings and wants do not outweigh those that are actually affected. You’ve been politely asked to not say it that way. Yet. 4 times now you have, proving you do not care about the people it affects.
