Phantom smells

I got this tonight, its really unpleasant.
This is strange smell in your nose, which isnt really there.
Anyone else got this ?

Yeah I smell burning plastic. For me it really flairs when I am stressed. In calmer times it’s just not there

When I did research I read that sometimes unpleasant smells can be the result of ear, nose and throat type problems - ie physical stuff.

But you can get olfactory hallucinations too. Best to speak to a doc because sometimes epilepsy can cause olfactory hallucinations

For me it was hallucinations. Off meds I smell bread, gasoline, burnt plastic, metallic taste, etc Once I smelled piss but there was no piss.

I also smelled weed at home eventhough I didn’t smoke any for years and no one smokes weed in my house.

Once in a blue moon I’ll get this strange smell, but like @anon94176359 said for me it was from a sinus infection.

Not saying your problem is physical @Yellowdiamond.
It could be an olfactory hallucination.

I’ve had olfactory hallucinations before. The smell of rotting meat, it followed me wherever I went

Oh also I even got these smell halucinations on meds after smoking weed and drinking.
