Since having schitzophrenia I can only motivate mysefl to have a shower once or twice a week. Anyone in the same boat?_

Yes me too, it is a common symptom…

Me, too. And, speaking of stigma, it’s something people notice.

Same. If I didn’t have to work, I know I would do it less.

If I had a darn boat I would have rowed away from this disease years ago and never return.

Did you ever used to have difficulty dong it Butterfly?

Oh yea so much. But it improved recently cos I now do a small slow jog five days a week n that gives me the energy to shower. Plus I’ve discovered it’s more enjoyable with music to shower.
But I def know where u are coming from. If I wasn’t jogging I’d be in the exact same boat

It’s very encouraging knowing someone can get better

Of course you can…if taking care of yourself and on right meds. Each day you should celebrate your victories :dizzy:

It’s all about taking small steps n seeing how it goes.

Normally I shower almost every day, but last week I skipped three or four days. I took a shower tonight, and I feel better.

I know how tough it can be. I really need to cut my hair, but don’t want to go. I’ve just been wearing in a ponytail. They always ask so many questions and makes me uncomfortable

Cut it yourself? That’s wat I do now
