People who consume more ultra-processed foods are more likely to experience psychological distress later in life (psypost.org)

" An analysis of data from the Melbourne Collaborative Cohort Study showed that individuals who consumed a high amount of ultra-processed food were more likely to experience psychological distress, an indicator of depression, more than a decade later. The link remained even after adjusting for sociodemographic characteristics, lifestyle, and health-related behaviors. The study was published in the Journal of Affective Disorders" Etc.

A store bought sauce, no doubt. Lots of sugar and unnecessary product life lengthening ingredients in that stuff.

That stuff is nasty. It’s like a compressed tube of a Dow Chemicals spill.

Agree. Only sauces I buy are:

  1. Ketchup
  2. Sriracha
  3. Garlic chili sauce
  4. Soy sauce
  5. Mustard

Everything else I make myself. Processed food is toxic.

I started drinking chocolate milk that has no added sugar or artificial sweetening, just the sugar from the milk itself…but it can keep for like 4 months without going bad…sounds like there are preservatives alright. I will probably go back to regular milk.
