Pdoc gave me invega samples but idk if i wanna take it

is anyone here on invega and how does it work for u and what side effects do u get

i was able to see pdoc but he didnt want me to go on haldol or one of the other older ap’s because he said the side effects will be bad

idk if i wanna take it because i dont wanna gain weight and get fat again and have lost 55 pounds for nothing just to get fat again. also invega is like risperidone and can cause all the ■■■■■■ up prolactin increase ■■■■ and i dont wanna have man boobs and be leaking milk out my nips and ■■■■ as well as EPS and idk how it would effect me

well tell your pdoc what you think…you have to be on some kind of meds if you are schizophrenic…I am sorry. I believe in meds for schizophrenics.

your doctor wants you on an ap or he wouldn’t have given you the samples. You haven’t been doing good. I say you should follow your pdocs advice and take the meds. I hope you feel better.

Listen to your doctor and try the Invega.
It’s usually an effective medication and it’s less of a weight gainer than Zyprexa.
You want to get some relief from hearing voices?

i think i am gonna take it but if it doesnt work or gives me bad side effects i will not take it anymore

I wasn’t a fan of invega, but don’t remember having many bad side effects. It just did absolutely nothing for my visual and tactile hallucinations.

But, also, I’m on haldol, have been for years, and don’t really have many side effects. It’s the best AP I’ve ever tried.

I’ve been on the max dose of invega for two years. I’ve never had raised prolactin levels. I’ve put on some weight but you really need to consider what’s more important. How you look or how you think because I don’t know about you but I’m pretty useless when I’m thin because my brain turns to scrambled eggs.

So choose. Do you want to be skinny or sane?

It might make you slightly drowsy to start with but nothing like seroquel zyprexa or saphris. Invega is a good med.
