Does anyone else experience palpitations and chest pain?
I used to have panic attacks like that. Now my anxiety is different
I used to. Smoked a lof of cigarettes back then. Dont smoke anymore.
I also used to get chest pain and palpitations. Turns out it was pleurisy. Basically it was my lungs and not my actual heart.
For chest pains you should see a doctor immediately. They’re not to be taken lightly.

Talk to your doctor.
Palpitations are not dangerous. Nervous symptoms are distressing, not dangerous.
I wouldn’t dismiss this as anxiety until your doctor has ruled everything else out. But that said yes I get both and have been to the er for severe panic attacks over it all. Turned out to be anxiety. My friend had some rn ing similar and she had an ulcer

I’ve gotten it checked out even had a coronary angiogram I was just wondering if chest pain and palpitations are more common among schizophrenics because I read there is an autonomic dysfunction among us which can cause coronary vasospasms other wise known as prinzmetals angina I was wondering if maybe I had it
If you’re having palpitations and chest pain, it could be anxiety, or it could be a genuine heart issue. People with mental illnesses can get physically ill just like everyone else. I suggest discussing it with your pdoc and seeing if they’re concerned, because if they are, then they can vouch for you in the ER.
