Pain synaesthesia

I just looked online for an excruciating problem I have. It is odd but whenever someone falls over or I see some feet in cold water, I get a pain in my testicles.

I just watched the end of 'You’ve been framed" which is one of those goof home videos sent in where everyone has an accident and it puts me in agony.

I have to avoid watching it.

I have found that I am not alone:

Does anybody else have this odd and amusing (and painful) experience?

I get it when I think about someone falling on concrete. I get an uncomfortable feeling in my pelvis which sometimes goes into my legs.

Good find.

Here is an interesting link about a type of this condition. It is called mirror touch synesthesia.

And also this quote, " Again, we don’t know what causes this kind of synesthesia, but it seems to be linked with higher levels of empathy for other people’s pain. And that may actually be relevant to the question of a link between synesthesia and fibromyalgia."

I have fibromyalgia too…
