I never heard of that before. I grew up with cats and I let my daughter have backyard cats. I think this might be an example of not believing everything you read online.

Dogs also have lousy aim.

This is probably just a myth but meh.

I had a cat from my teens til my early thirties, maybe it played a role, maybe it didn’t.

I loved that cat more than anything in the world.

you know… like a human. a human can produce stress smell. so when the cat sense and smell the human smell the cat starts acting diffrent causing cat hormones and pheromones.

I’m waiting for this to go somewhere that makes sense.

It’s true to say humans excrete certain chemicals when stressed. These chemicals have an effect on other humans/animals.

For example if someone has had 3 or 4 days of poor sleep the stress chemicals excreted go into the bedsheets and in turn potentiate the stress state.

Washing sheets often leads to a better sleep as you have cleaned away the stress chemicals. This isn’t an old wives tale

Not to pile on Noop_12 but I’ve noticed that even in other contexts when someone uses the word pheromone’s things start to get weird.

dont wory people we all have schizophrenia so our schizophrenia risk is infinite lol cats for everybody and i wish you luck on the road to remission

I’m allergic to dog pollen. That’s the real issue here.
