I think risperidone calmed my sex drive down to more normal levels. Im okay with that as before it was excessive lol

Yes, I almost never have an erection and when I do I have difficulties reaching climax.

I’m not interested in sex at all.

I won’t take an antipsychotic med that I can’t have a sex life. I was on risperdal in the begninning and was suicidal. couldn’t have a gf. hopeless…I am on generic prolixin now…fluphenazine. wonder drug…love it.

Generally speaking they definitely don’t help. In my case it hasn’t been a huge issue but I had a high sex drive before I got sick.

When i was on invega i had real bad problems with no sex drive and physical sex issues. I could go into it but probably tmi.
On abilify i feel my sex drive is too high lol. Its almost stressful its so strong :sweat_smile:.

Only zyprexa killed my sex drive. Geodon and latuda do t really cause any problems. I was hyper sexual most of my life so i dont mind the drive being less.

When I went back on meds after trying to quit them (didn’t turn out well) my sex drive was low and it was extremely difficult to cum & when I finally did, it didn’t feel that good.

I’m still on meds but my sex drive has come back. TMI warning: I now masurbate 3 to 4 times a week

Sometimes the side effects of meds take a while to go away. I need to find myself a girlfriend :zany_face:

It depends on the med and the dose
But in general the APs diminish ones libido

For me ADs are worse than APs. I switched from prozac to vilazidone a couple months ago and was doing good for about 3 weeks, but now I’m getting problems again. Prozac effn sucked for killing pleasure and drive. I might try and see if I can come off it completely since I’m only on 10mg.
