I have 3 friends. We all live in different countries now though. I’ve known one since I was 12 , one since I was 17 and one since I was about 30 (I’m nearly 50 now )
We’ve steadily been losing touch. They all have families of their own now.
So Ive decided to let it fizzle out with all of them.
We’ve all grown and gone our seperate ways anyway.
That’s kind of sad, man. I have one friend i’ve known for over twenty years. He has a job and a family and is a busy guy but we meet up about once a month or so for coffee or something. I guess if they’re in other countries that’s not really an option. I guess Skyping would be the next best thing.
It’s a little bit sad but it’s gotten to the point where I’m the one who’s keeping the contact going with 2 of them. And I’ve decided I don’t actually like the 3rd anymore. So it’s time to change things up a bit.
That sounds sad and familiar. I only have Facebook BS from childhood. I finally met a group of friends locally of other special needs mothers. I wish I could say I had a friendship that would last forever but I don’t know yet and haven’t had good luck in the past. I hope that your friendships last @everhopeful. You seem nice!
This makes me so sad. Do you really want to let them go? True friends can keep a bond between them even when there’s distance and even when they don’t get to talk for long periods of time.
