I’ve also thought about this. I don’t know why.

Maybe most people like to just live their lives without being part of a forum. Maybe some struggle a lot and they feel it would be hard to post on a forum.

You are right about that. At my city’s mental health club they have a room with desktops that can be lended because many people with sz choose to live without a computer at home. I guess it’s also because the internet can be triggering for many.

It’s 1% of the population so there’s heaps more than that around.

I think you’d find that our community here is on the higher side of function and have access to computers/phones and the tech to get online. 20% don’t respond to meds and often end up homeless or in jail for example.

According to Nami 1/5 Americans will experience a severe mental illness in there lives. We forgot about people with depression, anxiety, and stuff like that.

I seen it briefly years ago but found it appeared triggering and i didn’t bother for years. Now i just share and ive got to know users so its familiar now.

Edit i avoid anything too triggering mostly

Yeah i also think a lot of sz people wouldnt want to continue dwelling on it too. Like try to move on. But some of us need ongoing support from a forum like this. And others, like rogueone said, end up in gaol or homeless or never get better.
