I find it interesting that we see schizophrenics posting on the forum or their families. It is very rare to see both sides post here. I think @SurprisedJ and @kidsister are the only example I can think of in regards to this. I never told my family that I post here, not sure why. What about you? Why do you post but not your family members?
I’m pretty sure my mum has a account to spy on me but that’s it. I think for a lot this forum is an escape a sort of therapy without the catch of family finding out xx
I told my mom to check the family section but she said this forum is a good support for me and should be kept private from other people that know me out there in the real world.

Some of my family members know I post on schizophrenia forums but to be honest I’d rather they didn’t post too. My family is great it’s just me letting the side down with my depression.
Even if my parents wanted to they probably wouldn’t know how. They aren’t tech savvy at all. And since they are extremely conservative they probably wouldn’t know how to handle themselves on a forum like this. Im not even sure they know i use this forum. I like to keep some stuff i do private because they are very sheltering

My kid sis found the forum first…
Then I ended up joining and it’s been a great help for me.
The thing that we had to do was promise not to argue or get too personal online.
