She hears barking on the radio or t.v. or computer
but doesn’t react. She knows it’s not in our real world.
But boy, when she hears or smells or senses
one nearby, she goes crazy.

I’ve seen videos of cats reacting to mirrors and trying to fight their reflection.
Our cat doesn’t do that, he knows it’s him I think.
Why don’t u post some of her pic …love to see…in fact i like animals…!!!
I think your dog is smarter than my dog @Daze
My dog watches TV and whenever there are dogs, cats etc on TV, she gets excited and jumps up and down and barks. She knows the cue music to commercials that she likes (typically ones that feature dogs) and comes running when she hears it just so she can bark at the TV.
My dog did the same thing your dog does @Daze
He is as smart as a whip!
My cat Puck wasn’t usually troubled by cats on television, but there was a scene in Shakespeare In Love that irritated him. Shakespeare was walking down a street and a cat yowled in the background, and Puck always looked affronted by whatever that cat was saying. Like he was thinking, “what!!! …rude.”
My cat is absolutely disgusted that I don’t eat meat. He keeps coming to my side begging for table scraps, but when I show him what I’m eating he just looks so offended. He reels back in horror, then glares at me for a solid minute.
Yeah our dog is smart like that too. She doesn’t get bothered by her reflection either, so we know she recognizes herself because in reality she is very nervous around other dogs.
Our dog acts like a little person and not very doggish at all! Lol.
She thinks she’s me
What’s it’s name? Barky?
Deoge
She’s the best helper
