Opinion: There is nothing immodest or immoral in talking about periods

I hope this doesn’t prove to be problematic…

There should be no shame in talking about periods… Also everyone should be taught this in school not taken into two different classrooms to talk about it (boys and girls)… its nothing to be ashamed of … its a natural process our bodies go through

I’m a firm believer that we should all be able to talk about each other’s bodies without collapsing into childish giggles or embarrassment. Periods happen. I hate them with all my might, but they happen. So the sooner we all get over it the better.

Of course not. Anyone who says there is honestly is sexist. It is a perfectly normal part of being a girl.

That said I can understand not wanting to talk about it at the dinner table. Pooping and peeing is perfectly natural too, but it is kind of gross and you probably don’t want to talk about it when you’re eating or whatever.

If people can talk about sex and pregnancy then they can talk about periods. It’s a normal thing for a woman.

I love getting mine because I can take a break from some religious duties and rest.

I’m not trying to be mean, but I think you are delusional. I’m just trying to help you.

My friends and I talk about periods all the time. It’s one of my top ten favorite topics. I’m a pretty interesting person. Lol

Period talk is health talk. It’s a part of life and people with periods need to have conversations about them.

Someone last month made a rude comment on one if our vagina threads where we were talking periods. That’s just unintelligent and rude to do.

Yeah, the Crustacean period is quite interesting. There’s no reason to be ashamed of it, it should be explained openly with both boys and girls. I think an open dialogue between both sexes about it would be healthy and natural.

I’m open about my menstrual cycle with my boyfriend and he’s very attentive to it. He usually has a better idea of when my period will start than I do, lol.
