this thanksgiving I am giving away about five things I cling to…for spiritual reasons…they family is going to be blown away…so far, I’m giving my fifty year old chess set to my Nephew Hunter and his wife an amethyst geode…his brother I am giving a Led Zeppelin coffee table book that is so excellent…I am giving them their daughter Blakely my R2D2. She will love it I bet…I am giving my mother a rose rock on a pedestal, and giving my other nephew from my brother grandpa’s old zippo, fully restored. I am elated.

I was so tempted by a few things. In the end I didn’t buy anything. Have 2 kids to sort for Christmas so trying to save money.
I would have probably liked to have got either a decent gaming PC. Or another asus rog ally for my partner.

I didn’t buy anything this year. I’m usually fairly specific about what I want and don’t really take advantage of Black Friday. But years ago I got a new ps4 for $300 during this time. It wasn’t so much impulse as I was in the market for one.

I spent about $10usd on these.
So I can connect a usb drive to my android phone. I’m not even sure if I’m going to use them.

Marketplace is a good place to sell stuff. I’ve sold plenty on there. Sometimes you do get people messing you about though which is very annoying. Especially when you have put something for free on there and they don’t turn up for it or want you to deliver it for them as well.

I haven’t bought anything yet this year for Black Friday. Car repair bill was $306, which is not bad since they installed a new engine block heater for free. The $306 was for a new battery and labor. At least the car works again…

The roof of the trailer is large enough for 6x200w solar panels. I’m also adding another 2000kwh of expansion battery to it later.
The absorbption fridge can run off of propane for a week easily and 4000kwh of power with solar top up through the day powers everything with lots of headroom including the flatscreen up in the bedroom. Haven’t decided if I am taking that out, though.
The power box is the first part of my electrical upgrade.

I replaced my 3 year old Instant Pot with a brand new one. I paid $110 for mine back in 2021 and this one was on sale for $69.
