I told my girlfriend straight up about my illness. I think that’s the only fair way to be, not arguing, that’s just what I did and how I see it.

Thats one approach. Many other people prefer to see if take the time to see if there is potential for a relationship and then slowly revealing things - because too many people might be prejudiced.

When/how do you reveal your MI to new people?

So just as the title says. I don’t know when/how to reveal my mental illness to new people I met. I can’t hide it long enough anyway as my work schedule is odd. They’ll find out something is wrong. Do we need to be brave to come out?
