What did you use before risperdal in 93? The only one I know about is Haldol.

The original was Thorazine in the 50’s. It was pretty brutal and made people do the ’ Thorazine Shuffle '. Haldol was probably the first effective one. There’s others from that time or a little after…called the typicals but I forget those names. A few of the older heads still used them years later and found that newer atypicals weren’t as effective.
