Olanzapine vs Amisulpride vs Clozapine

Hello, I am currently on 12.5mg of Olanzapine but sometimes I get akathisia(restlessness) on it. Usually when I experience stress is when the akathisia occurs. I was on 15mg for almost 4 months. Before that I took a high dose of Quetiapine(1600mg) but it failed to control my positive symptoms. My psychiatrist suggested to lower the Olanzapine dosage to 12.5mg and then to 10mg, to see if the akathisia will go away and so far it hasn’t. The day before yesterday I experienced restlessness again as I got stressed. Stress is a normal part of life and working, and I want to find work. I used to be able to work when I was on Quetiapine, as I had no akathisia(restlessness). My psychiatrist suggested two more options, namely Amisulpride(Solian) and Clozapine, but said that if I started Clozapine, I would have to be admitted to the day clinic for blood tests. If lowering the dosage of Olanzapine to 10mg doesn’t work, I’m considering trying the Amisulpride(Solian), as I’ve read that Cloazapine can have a deadly side effect(reducing white blood cell count). I am taking 4mg extended release Akineton along with the Olanzapine, as it is supposed to control akathisia(restlessness) and it definetly helps, but when I’m stressed I still get restless. I would greatly appreciate any opinions on which drug you guys find best.

Olanzapine gave me Akathisia and I was on 25 mg. Made me fat !

Same as seroquil.

Im on Clozapine now and it doesnt give me bad side effects. The weekly blood tests are a minor inconvenience.

Im happy to have moved to Clozapine !

Did Seroquel give you Akathisia as well? Because it didn’t do that to me, but Olanzapine does give me Akathisia.

I like Amisulpride. I don’t really get any side effects apart from some weight gain.

Which of these 3 medications causes the least sedation? I am currently on Olanzapine and I have trouble getting up in the morning, so I sleep until late, approaching mid-day.

Clozapine eventually moves to monthly bloodwork which isn’t too bad.
