Wow I was just realizing after some research that high prolactin levels can cause irregular or missed menstrual cycle. I haven’t had a period in three years despite being on birth control that was supposed to make me have a regular cycle. My doctor is concerned because my prolactin level were “very high” according to the nurse who read me my results over the phone. She didn’t give me a number. I guess prolonged elevated prolactin levels can also cause infertility. This scares me. I know my psych meds are probably doing this

I had this issue
If you looked online it seemed very serious
But the doctor was not that concerned
Guess it’s the old benefit vs. Risk they do on our behalf!

Since you are not currently trying to get pregnant then the doctors aren’t concerned about it. If you feel high prolactin levels are hurting you then ask them for a med change, but if you are doing well on your meds then it is probably not going to hurt your body long term. I ran high prolcatin levels for a long time and it is actually a very calming hormone, at least it was for me.
