Have felt Even Keeled for a couple of Months now, ever since getting off of the Lamictal.
No Highs - No Lows - just calm even moods - Until Today - Yeah some Euphoric Mania has made a Comeback and has returned! - it feels ■■■■■■ Great!!! God is Good!!!

I am embarrassed for writing this post - yesterday I had sudden bursts of Euphoria hit me - they did not last long, like 2 hours or so.
I miss the Euphoric Highs, but I do know that they can lead to more problems in the end.
I wrote it down in my Joural and will mention it to my pdoc - I am not on a mood stabilizer other than the Risperdal
It’s a bit hard for me when a spike does break through… I feel great… and fun…
but usually the come down isn’t so pleasant.
I personally enjoy the manic hit… who wouldn’t? But when it starts getting out of hand… then it’s almost triggering.
If only there was a way to harness that energy and use it when I needed it… and not have it randomly hit me at 3 a.m.
Yeah if there was only a way to control it, this would be great!

Did the lamotrigine cause sfx for you? That stuff is usually pretty benign.
(Maybe try Trileptal, Tegretol or Topamax?) (If Lamictal is a sfx-loaded joy killer.)
Lamictal increased my Mood Cycling, especially on doses over 50 mg - but even at 50 mg it caused some mood instability.
I am more even with my moods and am off of any mood stabilizer - go figure.
I was on Tegretol for years - decades, my current psychiatrist is against me taking it because it interferes with the potency of the other psych meds.
I loved Depakote but it messed up my liver enzymes.

Messed up my stomach (royally). But, yeah, it’s hard on the hepatic filters.

No antidepressants for me - I will quickly go to the Hospital if I take an antidepressant - i have Bipolar type 1 - mixed
