This is the second day on a tiny dose of Lamictal and I’m feeling giddy, having these laughing outbursts!
Im also making fun of dead family members!
Feeling good though but it’s elevating my mood into mania and not alleviating my depression the natural way.
Im afraid to raise the dose in 2 weeks but my doctor said that I can keep taking a low dose.
Really don’t know what to do?
Im behaving very silly with this med.

Happened to me too. Leveled out within a week. lol, I was a bit sad honestly.
Well the mania and high feeling wore off like an hour ago.
Now I’m back to “normal” with no depression.
Oh well, it was kind of fun while it lasted.

I got that way once when I was manic. What triggered it was I stopped my AP on my own. The laughing lasted over a week. I finally went to the ER and the pdoc there put me on oral Risperdal. That stopped my laughing (mania).
Lamictal is known for causing those highs. I never experienced it, but was warned by my pdoc. It does go away, most of the time.
I get those off meds but always thought they were sz symptoms. Can those be symptoms of mania? I think I had a bit of mania that disappeared after raising my risperdal to 6mg. I am in the process of finding a new psychiatrist.
Yeah those are symptoms of mania usually.

Yeah I’m no longer feeling manic but feeling less depressed and my mood is elevated a bit without feeling high.
