Odds and ends kill my budget!

things like light bulbs, batteries, and cleaning supplies, brillo pads, oil for my leaf blower. i never have them budgeted in for the month, and they take away from my food money. i thought about asking for a year’s worth of household supplies for christmas, so i won’t deal with the unexpected expenses.

I put $200 on a prepaid Walmart credit card for the beginning of each Month so I don’t go over budget.

when you make your budget it should include food and sundry so you’ll have wiggle room. There’s always something that comes up. I try to leave $100 for sundry if I can.

I think that’s a great idea!

My main thing is I need to stop my charitable donations, focus on my health, and pay off my credit cards. I just got a letter from my pastor, but I’m afraid I’m not going to be able to give anything.

Why give them money? Are you using their services?

My parents donate money to our church sometimes but they use their services like going to their mass etc. I don’t use their services so I don’t donate money to church.

Since being self employed my business finances are water tight, but I have let slip personal expenditure.

It just doesn’t work out the same as pieces of money come in from all directions, and it’s harder to account for personal spending when you don’t have the same amount going in at the same time each month

I am just trying to keep my personal account above a certain amount of funds and just let it run like that as a buffer!
