I have errands to run this morning later on and I don’t want to do anything…I figured out one of the errands I can put off until monday but my depression is steepening. Even though me and my dad are distant, I cannot to this day watch “father and son” type scenes in movies without bawling my head out…because it is very sad to me my relationship with my father though out my life. He was a good dad really…we all made mistakes in life and I used to hold some things against him that I really shouldn’t have. hind sight is 20/20.

I’m sorry you are losing your dad. If it would help, I can post a link to the crisis hotline if your depression is too deep. Let me know if you need that. Also, don’t be afraid to lean on your wife for comfort and healing. She can help you get through this.

very true, my wife is my rock right now…she has been a great help…I don’t need a crisis line but thank you for offering. I just wish me and my dad had been closer…i feel numb.

oh very sorry to hear that. condolences.
my dad is 70. he bikes into town to the office and plays golf for five hours at a time in 85 degree heat so i figure he’s healthy. has a healthier lifestyle than i do anyway. hope we have him around for a long time. he was good too. he ws great when i was a child. great. then we struggled a little when i needed to party in my teens but with new love in my life i reconciled with him and grew up. he’s a nice guy. we all love him. he’s my weight probably 260 and has type 2 diabetes. my mother actually has more health problems than him. it would be devestting to see him pass.

well my dad passed away a couple hours ago…I’m o k. Just still a bit sad. He was 79.

thanks everyone…I am much better today…he’s in a better place…suffered the last three years of his life…funeral is soon so he will be buried in oklahoma. near me. so I am thankful for that.
