A different person gave me an injection yesterday of invega. It was a higher dose. The pain was excruciating now I took the band-aid off and it’s hardened. Is this because this person didn’t make sure I was calm and jabbed the heck out of me, or is this more painful with the higher dose?

I’m sorry this happened to you. I had 150mg of Invega(Xeplion) and i barely felt it. Now i’m on 100mg, next week i must go for my shot. I also felt tired but it didn’t hurt. Maybe the nurse had a bad day i don’t know.

I got 243mg. A higher dose totally slows your thinking. It’s not like I can fall asleep. I just have no wish to feel good or be happy about anything. It’s like I’m glossing over things. I hope this feeling passes

I hope you will feel better soon. I felt tired for two days. I think @anon4362788 is on Sustenna same dosage as you.

The highest dose is 234 mg. I take that every 3 weeks. It is more medicine than the lower dose so it is going to hurt more. I get mine in the hip muscle and barely feel it compared to the arm. The lumps go away faster in the hip because it is a big muscle that is used a lot.

@anon4362788 will the lumps go away if I put ice on my arm. It is really sore. I think I have a low tolerance for pain

It is going to hurt. That is really too much Medici e for arms. I almost passed out when massaging the arm lumps. But massage helps them go down faster and helps the pain eventually. Move your arm around a lot, like how you lift a weight, to move the medicine out faster. My arm lumps slowly shrank over two or three months. I n the hip it is weeks.
Naproxen or ibuprofen can help with the pain and inflammation. That’s the only other thing I know for the lump pain.

Not a problem . Wish I could help more. Just do t forget to switch to hip. I can’t believe the difference in pain. I won’t do arms now unless I have to. Oh, hard massage right when the shot is done helps reduce the lu.I a lot.

Sometimes I got a painful lump in my arm from the Invega shot. Morning my arm around and massaging the lump helped

I absolutely cannot handle depot shots in my arms. I must have them in my hips while relaxed.

its more painful with a higher/longer dose because theres more fluid i think. youre supposed to massage it around so it gets distributed.
What is the talk about “hip”. I got shot right up in the butt.
