I knew an autistic guy in the hospital and be had it in the same arm every two weeks = a big lump.
I used to get lumps from my shots. If the nurse makes a fost and massagea hard after unjection, it helps. Then you massage hard every day after. Made my lumps go from beong golf ball size to finger tip size.

My doltoid muscle was so painful on both arms. I think my community nurse injected me wrong last time in my deltoid as it was just so painful. Have it in my cheek now, like you said @anon4362788 alternate sides. Much better!!!

You may still get lumps. It’s just the way the med is.
Most of the injectables actually contain a vegetable oil ingredient, and it is this oil that creates the lumps… it’s also what let’s it stay in your system for a few weeks or months.

Another successful injection in the arse muscle today. I don’t know why I was so adamant about having in the Deltoid muscle instead of the arse. I think I felt uncomfortable with a women nurse doing it but now my community nurse does it it isn’t so bad. He’s a nice guy. And with my community nurse doing it he spends time with me as well instead of just doing the injection, he spent nearly 2 hours with me talking today. I see him every two weeks and go out for coffees, we take it in turn buying each other coffees.

you on Abilify? I was on the 400mg injection on that but it stopped working.

Stopped working? I hope it doesnt do that with me. For me ive been on it for about 10 months

I was on it for about 5 years and they kept increasing it until 400mg which is the highest dose. I’m on Invega 150mg now and this is a better med for me, it helps more with my moods plus I’m not psychotic anymore.

My injection is next week. Would have been today. But my last injection was delayed by 5 days because they didnt have my depot on time.

400 is the highest dose? I had no idea. I thought 400 equalled rpughly 15mg per day
I’m sure 400mg is the highest dose.
I see, i might ask if theres a lower dose tomorrow. Just because i think ill be less tired
I got the injection in the hospital. They said it would be less than the max dose but gave me the max dose anyways. Was not a fun time.
