What is it with programs like the ‘Big bang’ and ‘Bones’, and maybe others I’m not aware with , that hinted at autism without explicitly saying characters like Sheldon and Temperance Brennan were on the spectrum?

Sheldon has OCD but you could say he has a crappy Aspergers diagnosis. Not all people with Aspergers are annoying, rude, and geniuses.
I look normal but feel autistic in my thinking. I have a diagnosis and a lot of uneducated therapists like interns and not real psychologists or psychiatrists say I’m not.
Aspergers is still taboo and discriminated against. It’s not in the dsm anymore, but the dsm is a joke. They said schizophrenia, autism was caused by refrigerator mothers a long time ago. They said being gay was a mental illness too years ago.
