I quit my new job after 3 months. It wasn’t a good fit for me, but I did try my best.
This was 2 weeks before Christmas. My sleep is all messed up and I’ve been drinking a lot. I decided not to fly in to visit my mom, brother, and aunt for the holidays because I was too depressed. Not doing anything for Christmas just made me more depressed.
You may want to get a job doing something that you like to do instead of a job that you don’t like to do even if that job pays more. Your health is priceless.
@anon28938347 I’m sorry you’re feeling so down. Hopefully you start feeling better soon.
You should be proud of yourself for trying out the new job for 3 months. That’s a good length of time. Now you have some work experience that should help you figure out what type of job might be a better fit for you moving forward.
I also quit my job this past calendar year – I worked there 6 months. Longest I’ve held down a job since becoming ill.
I’m gonna try to volunteer first, before I think about working again. Whenever I get a job, the same ending happens and I feel terrible about it. Volunteering is much easy to walk away from. Hope you feel better.
