What are some non-caffeinated teas that have the same effect on energy and have therapeutic effects on the mind with no sedation? Something I can buy at Walmart or Target and is cheap haha
I drink nettle tea to help with my diabetes. At Walmart look for zinger herbal tea they usually give me a short energy pick me up.
Oh cool. I just googled it, what’s the best flavor?
I like the cinnamon and spice flavor ones
I’ll have to try them, the fruity ones might taste diff as a tea. I drink fruit juices. I’m going to go there when I get the time and look at the options!
Licorice spice tea is so good!
Thanks for the recommendation!
Rooibos is nice, it is a south african tea.
I take herbal teas. But I’ve found a supplement called theacrine, and it gives me energy throughout the day, without the negative side effects of caffeine.
Cool! I’ll have to look into it
Bengal spice tea. Tastes like chai tea
Just looked into. Same brand as @Raven was talking about!
@John_Raven what dose of theacrine? It’s got analgesic properties too? Does it act on opiate receptors?
I’m not sure, but I take 100-200 mg of it. My dad did most of the research, because we were trying to find an alternative to caffeine, as it makes me go psychotic again. It works well so far though.
Oh nice, I can’t drink any caffeine starting tomorrow. I’ve been drinking it for like 4 and 1/2 yrs straight. I love how it picks me up, but a doc said it’s not good either
I stopped drinking caffeine around 4 months ago. First couple weeks was rough lol.
I still wish I could have caffeine to have a pick me up.
I now try to have more fruit or orange juice to wake up.
