I started hearing a new voice named nine that was giving me harmful commands and ridiculing the ■■■■ outta me. my main voice, Five, combats her and helps me. i am on thorazine but my doc just added abilify 10 mg. i have heard voices no matter what meds ive been on, and atypicals dont work on me. does anyone have any experience with abiify for voices, or for negative symptoms?
I’m currently on it and it does help with voices a little, more quiets them than gets rid of them, it has also removed several hallucinations xx don’t no so much about negative symptoms as I have other medications focused on that but it has been pretty affective, did cause me to gain weight though but can be easily fixed (I hope) what is your dose?
Thanks. My dose is 10 mg a day. I’m also on 600 mg of thorazine, 3 mg of xanax, 30 mg of restoril and 300 mg of gabapentin.
I’ve never tried abilify. But my brother was on it for hallucinations and paranoia involved with his bipolar disorder. He said they made him feel like a zombie so he stopped taking them. I don’t know If they helped him or not, he never said. I think because of the meds making him feel different and not working that is why he quit taking it and has since refused all meds even though he has insomnia.
