New to schizophrenia?

My son started having hallucinations about a year ago but has just realized that’s what’s happening. I’m not sure on visual but he has audio, smell and taste… What advice do you give him? Thank you. I’m going to share this with him and encourage him to join this forum.
I don’t want to ask Normie’s. I’m bipolar

Maybe not loose his cool. Not to overreact. Maybe let him know that his brain does something what it shouldn’t do. He is not alone. It’s not the end of the world its the beginning of a new world.

My advice would be to see a specialist ASAP. When I had first started to notice things, it worried me but I kinda left it. The problem with that is I got so much worse and lost the insight and then I ended up going missing as I was on another planet.

Both times this has happened, I have no recollection of how I ended up in hospital. My parents tell me that members of the public usually call an ambulance to pick me up.

I guess what I am trying to say is, that the earlier the intervention takes place, the better the outcome.

I hope you both find your way through this.

Yea I have a job. Why?

Thank you. Yes, we are working with a psychiatrist now. This all started a while back. It’s just gotten worse and he’s just now realizing what’s happening to him.

I don’t think my son will be able to work. I’m filing for social security for him.

@Steph, I am not comparing me. But my both children are in the age of this disease. May God help me in this that it will not come again.
