What advice would u give a 17 year old boy that has recently been diagnosed schizophrenia. He hears, tastes and smells things not real. I think he has had visuals but doesn’t talk about it… Refers to one of the voices as his best friend. Any and all advice is appreciated and no I don’t want to talk to Normie’s about it. They’re clueless. I’m bipolar

I’d tell him that he’s more than just a person with schizophrenia. Having a mental illness will automatically make people think there is something wrong with you. You are perfect the way you are. You just have to take care of yourself a lot more than the average person.
