Good Morning Everyone, I’m a new member to the forum. I have been schizophrenic for most of my life, but have never realized it until the last few years. I believe mine began with heavy Aspergers from birth and sort of spiraled out of control. I’ve been experimenting in learning to control them and stop them, turning them back and forth on each other, etc. Once you learn that they’re not real, you can control most of the hallucinations and make fun of whatever is going on in your head at any given time.
I’m sure some of you even have internal conversations in your head and argue with them, as well. Hopefully, anyway.
Hi FaveDaveSchiz! Welcome to the forums!
Welcome to the forum buddy
Hello. This is my family. Welcome new soul. We could use your positivity around here.
Thank you. Hope you two are doing well this morning.
Welcome!
Have you been diagnosed by a psychiatrist?
There are many disorders that can cause hallucinations.
Allo, Arturo. So nice to see so many others experiencing the same effects you are. Sort of levels you out a bit, dunnit?
Yeah it does level us out a bit. People tell me all the time that I say what’s on their mind, or they relate to me, ect. So where do you hail from my brother?
I was diagnosed by caseworkers with Aspergers a few years ago, my mind never stopped in 30+ years and I seemed to have developed the schizophrenia when I stopped going to therapy. I have since stopped going anywhere, but I am 95% certain it’s a paranoid delusional schitzoaffective disorder. All of the signs match.
I also quit drinking last year, and that’s not helping. When I drank, the voices were never so bad.
It would be safer to investigate the causes of these psychotic symptoms with your GP and a psychiatrist because it is very important to find an effective treatment.
I will look into reconnecting with my old psychs soon. Last one scared the s**t out of me last time when he discussed a remote possibility of Adderall. I never handled meds well, thanks to my BiPolar chemistries reversing the intended effects of the meds.
