i am an accountant and work full time in a company and there is supposed to have an interview in a new job so should i continue in my old company or move to the new company if i get accepted?
my thoughts is new job have a high risk of being fired but came with new experience and higher salary.
the old job have more stability and unlikely to be fired but came with no new experience and low salary.
i am really confused and cant make a decision.
Ohh that’s a tough one. You could always apply and then make the decision… are you comfortable where you are right now?
Why would you be a higher risk of being fired with this new job?
the private sector have this kind of risk for several reasons. and due to my mental illness i have cognition impairment so i am high likely to make mistakes and unable to handle new job tasks that’s why
yes i am comfortable and have the enough knowledge about the job tasks and can handle them
It’s completely your choice @MIDO but if it was me and I was comfortable where I was … I wouldn’t risk it
I just made this decision and and am in the process of moving to a new job.
Good luck to you both!
Does the higher pay outweigh the negative things you’re worried about?
Increased salary will likely solve some things
I know when I paper chased for a while I saved a lot of money
now in my old work they hired new accountant and i will no longer an accountant.i will do adminstration work only.
i dont know should i move to another company and work as an accountant or stay in my old company. i am 35 years old not young and iam worried about my carrier
what should i do?
Do you prefer the accounting work? Are you skilled in it?
yes i love accounting work. i have little experience in it and i am willing to take a course in it to have more knowledge and skills
Maybe you should accept the administrative position until you gain an education in accounting. Once you do that, you’ll be better positioned to take the job you want, wherever it is.
i am already graduated from faculty of commerce.but due to my mental illness i didn’t work after graduation it would be easier and i would have a carrier pathway.
Ok. Well, I’m sure it will all work out for you
I wish I had become an accountant. I think it would have been easier and I would have made a lot more money.
currently i am doing several interviews in other companies but from the feedback i am getting so far is that i lack experience in accounting.
