New here and needed to feel less alone

Hello. I don’t know if I’m posting in the right area but I was just thinking “I have got to talk to someone who goes through what I go through” because it hurts me that no one I know can be like “I know what you mean” I’m new here and am diagnosed different things. Schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder with psychotic features, paranoid schizophrenic.

Sure, lately I have been falling asleep later than usual, my meds usually knock me out, and I’m trying to fall asleep I have hallucinations that the people I work with are wide awake, working, talking to me, just waiting for me to wake up from my cat nap, visually they’re right there… during the day they’re communicating to me when in actuality it’s just more hallucinations. Just FYI I am working a lot lol. Currently I’m trying to study and there is a relentless male voice saying my name, inaudible sentences, just quiet enough so I can’t hear, as if the devil himself is like ha ha ha look what I can do!

Yeah that sounds heavy a lot of disorders

Yeah I feel Iike they each spent 15 min talking to me and each had a different opinion lol. What’s your diagnosis?

That must be so scary for you :open_mouth:

I have Paranoid Schizophrenia.
I hear internal voices and have tactile hallucinations, with the occational episode of mild paranoia.

Oh okay. Thank you for being real with me. I know it can be stressful and wreak havoc on your emotional well-being so I am happy as ever to be able to speak with you today in good spirit

Hi there @Pixiedustqueen. Sorry you’re having such a hard time :frowning:

For a long time I heard voices almost any time I wasn’t hearing music or human speech. They wouldn’t necessarily quiet down when I wanted to sleep, either. Sometimes if I relaxed enough, they would.

Have you tried peaceful music? I no longer hear voices most of the time, but Dean Evenson makes some very peaceful New Age. Forest Rain, Healing Dreams, and Desert Moon Song are especially good.
