Not sure if I posted or not, but we added ADHD to my laundry list of diagnoses. My next pdoc appointment is at the end of July, and I’m going to start Adderall, at least to give it a try. I think it will make a big difference

I mean, I drink an inordinate amount of caffeine right now as a way to self medicate

I drank 25 cups of coffee a day for years. Currently, I have been on Provigil for years.

Good luck with the Adderall! It’s great at making you more focused and energized.
It made me focused and more productive. But I eventually became very manic.
Just be careful. But I hope it works out for you!

@Blossom I haven’t had to deal with mania thus far, hopefully it doesn’t become an issue. Knock on wood!

Just watchout for positive symptoms. APs block dopamine function while stimulants like Adderall increase dopamine function. Psychosis is a possible side effect of stimulants like Adderall, called stimulant-psychosis.

My psychiatrist refused prescribing me Adderall or Ritalin, he said I will end up psychotic and be hospitalized again.

My son was on that. It worked really well. But we had to take him off it due to effecting his appetite. He lost weight while on it, so we eventually decided to take him off it. Just beware your appetite, and make sure you eat enough. I hope it works well for you!
