I’m one of the few persons on this planet who have never used Netflix ![]()
I pay spotify for an ad free service, so I guess netflix is the same these days.
Can you pay for an ad free service still? I don’t like the idea of paying for netflix only to get adverts anyway. It seems to defeat the purpose.
I pay BBC for an ad free service, but that isn’t a choice.
Netflix used to be the big dog in streaming. Nowadays its just one among the herd/pack.
The streaming bubble is about to pop, I think. It only got big because it was more convenient than piracy, and reasonably priced. If it becomes more inconvenient, or too expensive, people will just return to the old ways. I would gladly pay $10 a month to get quality programming. I would not pay $15 a month to get commercials AND find out my favorite shows are no longer available. At that point, I’m just going back to buying DVDs. Or…other means…
I pay for YouTube premium. 10$ I think.
I don’t want ads. But the internet is putting up paywalls up everywhere + ads.
come to firefox. We have functioning adblockers.
I heard some shows are actually getting put back on cable tv. The circle of life continues ![]()
ive had netflix longer than ive had sz. my family has always loved movies, luckily its included free with our phone service provider

firefox is my favorite since like a year. even on mobile it has adblocker and all the desktop addons. chrome kinda sucks on mobile compared to firefox although on desktop u can add ublock origin
I switched to brave browser for youtube. The ads have become outragaeous without it.
I’ve always used Firefox since like Firefox 3.0. Probably because I used to use Linux which is the only browser that really works well there. UBlock Origin is good.
Does that block YouTube ads completely?
Anybody remember Netscape Navigator? Or I am the only really old guy here?
Yes it does. I havent had any since.
That was a bit before my time.
Yes. It was amazing. The early days of computing.
