Jasper was suppose to have a vet appointment today but the vet suggested just bringing in a fecal sample because there is a fungal infection going around that is fatal if not caught very early.
I showed him pictures, a feeding video to show he’s eating well and brought the poop in. He said jasper looks healthy and I get the results of the fecal exam in 72 hours.
Well, if he seems healthy, then hopefully he’ll be just fine. Plus, even if he does have the infection, you guys will have caught it early, right? Can’t they treat it if it’s caught early?
The infection cant be detected in feces but I took the pictures showing he doesn’t have anything on his skin. Thr vet suggested not bringing him in because the fungal infection is devastating pet amphibians and wild ones too. Even so much as walking in an area where the infection is found I can track it in to my apartment with my shoes
The fecal shows parasites but he said since I don’t feed crickets he has a lower chance of having something like pinworms
