Napping and good/bad days

I’ve started taking a nap during the day, about 40 minutes long. So not falling asleep or anything. It’s early days and could be a coincidence but I haven’t had any “bad” days since I started doing this.

Do you nap? Does it help ?

I don’t nap, but my sleep has been messed up recently. Maybe a med increase will help.

Naps help a lot with anxiety as they relax you. Do it on weekends and off days.

I nap occasionally, I find an hour helps, but if I don’t set an alarm I’ll be out for three.

It’s not even really about the sleep, it’s more about just relaxing somewhere comfortable, and taking some recovery time

I usually do a sheet mask or a foot mask so I take like 35 minutes time out on the bed and lay down.

I used to nap everyday for 30- 60 minutes, since the recent switch of medicine, I haven’t napped. To answer your question, yes it helps me a bunch, it sort of resets my head.

Since I’ve been on meds I am for some reason unable to nap, although I do sleep and unreasonable amount. Before meds If I had a busy week I would normally throw a few naps in there.

Naps are the cats pajamas. It’s perfect weather right now…windows open, chilly enough to need covers…perfect :expressionless:

I do not nap  but I usually sit in bed in my pyjamas from around lunch time till dinner or bedtime .

I usually sit under the blankets with my computer.
I usually get home from my activities around lunchtime.

I sleep from around 7.30 pm to 6am usually.

When I lived in the Gold Coast I would get so exhausted by just grocery shopping or going out etc that I would lay in my bed staring at the wall for hours and hours exhausted.

I spend most of my time in bed but I do not sleep  during the day not even for a hour.

In Spain they had siestas but they had dinner at nine pm or so.they actually closed their shops for siesta but this was over twenty years ago.

Yes I usually nap during the day. It helps when I’m feeling like IDK what to do and feeling restless so I just sleep. I can still sleep during he night too

Sometimes I take a nap with my son. It definitely helps with my mental health. Lately I’ve been staying up later than usual and I’ve been exhausted when I wake and I just can’t function as much. Usually I do take a nap when this occurs. It’s 10:40 here now and I’m not really sleepy but I’m going to force myself. Sleep definitely is a big part of me making progress. I HAVE to sleep well every night because it’s important that I’m healthy for myself and for my son.

I didn’t take a nap yesterday and today is a bad day. So I might be onto something.

However yesterday I went into town to get my meds so it could be that too as I rarely leave the house.

I wish I could nap.

Just lie down and close your eyes for 30 minutes. I don’t actually fall asleep.

Ive been napping more ever since a med change, and taking some meds in the morning that bring on a whole nights worth of sleep. I’ll wake up at 8am, take my meds and sleep till 2pm

I nap most days. I get pretty exhausted and bored in the afternoon, so I’ll usually take a nap. It helps me get through the day, especially when I am depressed.

I don’t like to nap but prefer to sleep early at night. My cat slept by my side last night, I did not even notice.
