I placed an order online Sunday night. To be delivered Monday evening. The thing is, I shopped and clicked the “checkout” button and went through all the necessary steps and the site messed up on literally the last step. All they wanted was the CVV number on the back of my debit card. It’s the three digit code printed on the back of any debit card I’ve ever had.
The system wouldn’t take it. I kept getting error messages. I didn’t know what was going on because I knew I was punching in the right number. I kept trying until I got locked out.The thing was that this was a big order. $350 worth of groceries. I had taken my time and really checked out the site and found all kinds of coupons and deals. And I found coupons based on what I usually buy. So I got a discount total of $110 so my final price would be $240.
I found great deals on soda and Crystal Light and lots of discounts for canned goods. And miscellaneous items like a 4 lb package of pork chops that was regularly $22 but I got it for $12.00. And a watermelon that regularly cost $8.00 I got for $3.99. And so on. But I couldn’t place the order.
So I called customer service. The guy tried to help me but nothing worked and he said he would submit my case too IT. Anyways, 8 calls later and lots of time on the phone, my case is no closer to being solved. I just called an hour ago and the guy told me all I can do is wait three days for IT to get back to me. I’m so pissed off about this. Safeway keeps screwing me up and I’m sick of this. I’m just thinking of never using them again. If they did their jobs right it would be a good service, but they seem so unprofessional. I haven’t had food in the house for three days. Tomorrow I’m getting up and shopping in person at Smart & Final.
