Almost couldn’t be bothered to do a Tesco online grocery order. Had to really force myself. Sometimes even the relatively simple things seem like too much effort.
I’m the exact same! That’s so funny. I usually have my groceries delivered on Monday. But some Sundays I can’t even be bothered to go online to do the simple job of ordering.
My grocery days vary as I can go 10-14 days between orders depending on how much I’ve ordered and also how many take away meals I have.
I know I should cut down the take aways but eating is one of my few pleasures and I can get bored with the stuff I’ve ordered.
I’ve been ordering my groceries online this past year too. So much easier than looking down aisle after aisle.
I used to get overwhelmed with all the shelves and different things on display. Very much a case of visual overload.
Would end up getting stuff in a rather haphazard way.
I can only handle the small Supermarket down the street from me.
Larger Supermarkets make my head spin.
I can easily become overwhelmed.
I hate shopping at big stores especially ones at the mall. but its the only time I get to spend time with my partner, she and her mom shop at thrift stores so sometimes I am allowed to go with. but they need me on the first they have no choice but to take me along. i’m the only one that can take the money out of the bank. its an atm card and it can only be used at the bank or the atm but the atm will only let me draw out not even half of my money. the bank makes me paranoid maybe because you can see all of the cameras.
I shop Walmart.com for my non perishables and I save a ton of money. I like how they bring it right to my door. Unfortunately I still have to go to the regular grocery once a month for “big” shopping and a few more times for milk and bread. I’m at the point now where I have to take 1-2mg Ativan just to leave my house. The grocery store really spikes my anxiety. For the love of God I might have to talk to someone - that’s always hard (unless I’m manic)
it’s good that you pushed yourself, firemonkey. there are days i really don’t feel like going for groceries either. then i end up starving a bit. yikes.
I went a did a big grocery shopping before work this morning, at the end of the day I’m to tired to go and was down to nothing in the house. I’m good for a week or so now
Parsnips were on sale. Tried them for the first time. Roasted. They were delicious. Now adding them to chicken noodle soup I’ve got brewing on the stove-top.
parsnips, eh? never heard of them.let me taste test? quickly, in this cup!

lol just kidding
Roast parsnips are good with a roast dinner.
I tried frying a combination of parsnips and carrots. Delicious.
Hey @firemonkey do you have those services of automated food delivery system in your area?
Cooked or frozen meals, ready to eat.
They deliver once on early monday morning or late sunday eve for a whole 7 days. You only have to microwave from the freezer. They cost like 150$ a week but you only need to buy coffee and milk I guess
- they are variety of healthy food complete. I like it, I might do it
There’s a place I order from from time to time online that does frozen meals and desserts. It’s more expensive than supermarket ready meals, but tends to include a portion of veg when the supermarket ones often don’t.
However I still have to do an online supermarket shop and if you spend less than £40 with the supermarket they add a charge of £4 to your bill.
I totally understand what you mean @firemonkey. I have to do an online shop once a week and I find it so difficult - these simple things take a massive toll on me and I find things like this stressful
a few months ago, i really wanted to get groceries delivered online. but it’s quite expensive
