My status says two percent completed and they have recieved lots of medical records physical Dr,mental health Drs,hospital, pulmonary Dr already and just sent in forms. Can it be decided with low percentage. Can disability see how often you call?
I’m not sure. In my case I applied and got disability within 3 months on the first try. But I have multiple medical conditions
I applied myself when I was 19 and first got ill. The staff at the group home gave me the address of the social security office and I was intensely psychotic and it was my first time living in a big city but I dutifully walked for 30 minutes to the downtown office. The worker gave me some forms to fill out. I didn’t want to tell them I had schizophrenia so when they asked me on the form what was wrong with me and why I was applying for SSI I wrote down, “emotional problems”, lol. Needless to say, I was denied.
My parents wondered why I was rejected and the office workers told them what I wrote. I reapplied and wrote “schizophrenia” and I got approved.
To tell you the truth, my first group was Soteria House. Rent was about $600 a month and they wrote me a cumulative bill each month but I stayed there more than a year and never paid a dime. I had no income. You can’t squeeze blood out of a turnip.
