My weight loss journey

So I realized I’m making a lot of threads about my weight loss journey to try and stay accountable and I’m jamming/spamming the forum a bit and I don’t want to do that so I’ll just add everything here from now on… as best I can… I might post a few meals to the foodie thread but not like I have been

I started out at 219 lbs about 7 months ago and I weighed in at 209 lbs this morning

I did have a lot of candy last night but I’m jumping back on the wagon and I’m going to make this work

I’m on keto and my mom says my stomach is already looking a little smaller, I don’t think my body can take certain foods and they make me bloated (maybe)

My mood is stabilizing still after my depressive spell but I’m better

I had a simple Jack Links wild meat stick in the flavor of mild for breakfast (these things are great if you can’t figure out what to eat or just want a snack, also I got a full box of them for $20 so not bad)

Youre doing great! Im on a weight lose journey too. Im losing my bloat right now from the risperdone, and am done 17 lbs! Im at 223 now. Its so good for me because i have knee replacement surgery in a month and the less i weigh the easier itll be in me. Im hoping to lose another 5 lbs before then.

@Pickpink you’re doing really well too! I’m really trying to be good, I’m counting calories and carbs, not so much of fat but definitely the other two, I’m only supposed to have 19g of carbs but I usually end up about 24g, it’s been an adjustment and really kinda hard… We don’t have much for my diet yet because I started it at the end of the month and we already went food shopping all we can this month… Just gotta wait for the first of next month to get more so this Friday… I’m slightly excited to go food shopping again and really start thinking of my food

Btw for anyone that wants to know I just started keto (again) 3 - 4 days ago… Keto has worked in the past so I’m trying it again

I’ve been doing low carb for a few months. I realised I had lost quite a lot of weight last month and started eating more as I felt like I “could”. Big mistake XD
Even just a few more cookies etc seemed to do damage.

Good work! It’s bloody hard to do and keto is hard work like any restrictive diet and it’s a little unusual in that carbs are so good and plentiful.

I’m not sure of the longevity bit I’m almost at goal weight so will keep low carb moving forward. It does work for weight loss.

I read that Keto is as long as you’re at 50 or less grams of carbs. I eat around 50g. I reduced my carbs and fat, increased my protein. I read protein is good for weight loss as it helps metabolism and gives satiety, it also has over half the calories of fat, 4 vs 9 cal/g. Its been 3 months im doing a diet, I was 148kg, now 123kg. But now its harder to lose weight as metabolism slows down when you lose weight, yes fat cells use energy to survive. Thats why its extremely hard to lose weight. Good luck!

I ate leftovers for lunch just a cup and I accidentally missed breakfast (I got busy) I still have some leftovers so I’ll probably eat the rest of that for dinner and maybe something else IDK yet, the day is still youngish? It’s not bedtime anyways so I got time to eat in and calorie/carbs left

I’ve also been drinking hot tea every evening (mostly green tea)

I made a play on the egg roll bowls I made the other day

This time it has pork sausage and bacon in it!! I already put it in single serve containers, I only tried a bite but it’s good from what I tasted, I’ll post a picture later today

There’s a nurse at my clinic that was very big and has finally been losing weight after a long long time of changing diet and exercise. The body hangs onto its weight for a long time in starvation mode, it just stops burning calories. I myself have been curbing my weight for two decades.
