My voices are less when I continuously speak and think in native language

I spent a week with my old friend who speak in my native language and surprisingly, there were no voices in my head, but the moment I start conversing in English, voices are back.

One of my voice is my mother’s voice who speaks to me in English, but my mother can’t speak in English. I am confused, any advice or bilingual experience with voices.

My voices speak in Greek and very rarely in English…

I don’t know what language my voices speak because all they’ve ever done is mumble. I’m very hard of hearing. That may have something to do with it, I don’t know.

Could it have something to do with Sz and the language centers of the brain? That is interesting and it kind of makes me hope they do a study on it.

What age were you when you transitioned to your second language? Or were you always bilingual?
