for early in the morning. There isn’t anything in my town,. 16.4 miles away in the next town they have interesting places. I’m rural so its shite.
I’m not spending £20 on a McDonalds for two breakfasts sausage burgers and hash browns.
Haha its £15 quid usually for me, using Deliveroo for my Burger King Meal, and they are only up the road.
Lol I never get fast food from delivery it’s always dry but I spend a bloody fortune on it! So no.
Since Covid a lot of takeaway places have taken to adding a ridiculously high delivery fee. The worst in my area is Subway with a £6.99 delivery fee.
Haaa that is totally ridiculous. It’s almost as much as the meal.
Blimey its £2.49 here + 50p Service Charge. Subway here do stamp cards tho so you usually get a tenner off on the 6th order.
I get coupons in the mail for subway 4.99 for a footlong
Lol. We have no delivery in my area at all. I’ve been told by friends that wanted to surprise me with groceries or meals that they couldn’t find anything and were shocked.
Heck yeah that is shocking.
When I lived in the tower block in Essex(the poor part of town) I had about 20 takeaway menus, plus more than a few via Just eat. Not good at all if you are someone who at the time was self neglecting and due to interoception (trait not state) finds it hard to know when they’re not hungry. Big amounts of takeaway several times a week was the norm. Here, in a more rural part of England, there’s less than a fifth than that to choose from. I was having about 2 takeaways a month pre Covid. Now that’s reduced even further.
I don’t really use delivery services like Uber Eats anymore.
I don’t trust their delivery drivers.
A lot of them are seedy characters.
I use doordash a lot. I havent had many issues. But one meal cost like $20 and its only a mile or two away. Not being able to drive sucks
